Clean up the Blight in Brownsville

This is the former Brownsville Hospital. After non payment of taxes etc it has fallen into the hands of the County. In 2017 us 3 commissioners created the Fayette Co “demolition fund” which was funded by increasing the cost to record certain documents in the Recorder Of Deeds. The first property demolished using this fund was the former Uniontown Police Station. (I preferred that the Brownsville Hospital be demolished first but the other 2 wanted the former Uniontown Police Station to be demolished first so we did). Now what needs done is for the Fayette County Redevelopment Authority to meet with 3 commissioners to review a list of blighted properties owned by the county in order to select the next to be demolished. An open conversation needs to occur. Demolishing this property would help safety wise as well as clean up the area.
